My Little Brother

On Tuesday my brother had his second heart attack. By all accounts from the doctors he is lucky. This morning he is going in for quadruple bypass. After his first attack 6 years ago he had a quintuple bypass. 51 years old is too young to be doing this.

(yes, he smokes, at least he did till Tuesday, DAMN ADDICTIONS)

Prayers for your brother, his surgeon, the hospital staff and any of his caregivers. May his surgery be successful, and may his recovery be swift and free of complications.

Bad tickers run in my family, too. It sucks.

Brother is out of surgery and everything went well. He is in his room resting with new arteries and plenty of blood flow to his heart and it is pumping strong.

Great news. I am glad to hear it is working out well. It is just amazing what the doctors can do with hearts.

My thoughts are with him. Lifestyle changes are definitely needed. He has been given a second chance. Not many get that. Best wishes to him and you.

wow and you said your little brother. my sister has health issues and she is only 18 months older than me, 2 years ago she has 2 heart attacks a mini stroke and some sort of seizure.

today she still eats whatever, doesn't take medication, doesn't check up with the doctor and refuses to believe she is any sort of helath risk.

i am going to miss her when she is gone

There have been some post surgury complications that are making some things rough and worrisome. We have our fingers and toes crossed.

I will add your brother to my prayers when I pray for Alex and your family. Its the least one can do considering how much you do for all of us.
Thanks,
