Being Ready For Anything

On Friday it almost seemed like a father/son time. We were watching a movie together, the doorbell rings and it is the sheriff. Another warrant for his arrest. He is in jail again. We don't pay bail. So he is there until, I don't know.

Mom has a saying posted on the refrigerator, I don't know where she got it so I can't give proper credit for the quote but it really applies here. "It is difficult to move towards the future when the past keeps dragging you back to the present."

Kept us busy not thinking about the situation with him this weekend because we helped our daughter move. Note to self, respect and appreciate those people whose job title is Mover.

Got a recommendation from a counselor I respect at Valley Hope. She spoke highly of a rehab facility in Oklahoma called Clay Crossing. Does anyone know about this facility? Has anyone known someone that went through the program? It is a minimum 90 day program.

I'm very sorry that you are going through this right now! Unfortunately, I don't know of the rehab facility that you mentioned. It would be nice if your son seeks treatment after his case is settled. Blessings, Lisa

You are so heavily on my heart. I've ready every single one of your entries. I'm so sorry.
I'm in California, so I don't know of that facility. I pray that your son will find a program that HE wants to stick with. @!$@# Opiates! God, I pray for a miracle for your son.

Blessings,

Clay Crossing is a 90 day rehab center in Purcell, Oklahoma. My Brother-In-Law went thru their program 2 years ago (chronic alcoholic) and was doing well (read sober) until he died in a car accident. It's a beautiful country setting with horse riding trails and lots of area to think. They do the 12 steps AA and NA.

We don't pay bail either.... And right now mine is cooling her heels at The Main, and goes back before the judge tomorrow.

I'm not familiar with that program (I'm in California) but I will pray that your son is willing and ready...

I'm so sorry you and so many others are going through this. That is what has been so eye opening for me, in the last few weeks. How many of us are hanging on to hope.... because if they are still breathing, There. Is. Hope!

I haven't heard of that program, but if Noah is right, I may admit my self there - I could use a vacation !
I've had several Policemen knocking at my door recently as well. Turns out that telling him to move out was good timing for my son. One of these days they will catch up to him. All I can do is leave it in God's hands and His timing.

We don't pay bail either, and if doesn't like it and he wants to complain about it, I won't accept his phone calls either!

Good for you for not paying bail, I don't pay bail either, I know how hard it is to think of them sitting in jail but I figure better clean there then using onthe outside.
Prayers coming your way.

My brother went somewhere in OK City. I know he is a recovering addict/alcoholic and is doing great!

The fact that the facility is 90 days and not 30 days is a real plus. Very impressed that you didn't bail him out...Good luck to you and your family.
