During this time of year Jayhawk basketball is not a game.........
IT IS A LIFESTYLE!!!!!!
Are YOU prepared for tonight's game? I'm ready, got my t-shirt on, it's the one I was wearing when we beat Roy's Boys at North Carolina, picked it up from the chair in the bathroom on Saturday night and put it on when we were playing the overconfident braggarts at Ohio State, got it on today. I know some of you are wondering, NO, it hasn't been washed! You think I'm crazy? (don't answer that)
To all you UK fans out there reading this, ______________________. (leave it to your imagination)
Of course there can be only one winner. You can tell where my loyalties lie. I wish the best for all those players on the court tonight. I just wish the best a little harder for those that understand that KU is the proper order of initials for a basketball team.
ps.: I EXPECT several ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK, GO KU in the comments.

My daughter lives 2 blocks from Rupp Arena in Lexington. Saturday night the fire department had to come put out a burning couch on her front sidewalk. It was crazy all around her, but my Smoochie slept through it all..
Still, since she goes to UK, so I have to say GO WILDCATS!!
Lou,
I've done my time in Lexington. I use to have a plant in Mt. Sterling that I had to visit once a month. Always stayed in Lexington. This was back in '98 - '00.
Is was there once during non-conference time and I remember UK playing Cinn. I was at the bar watching the game wearing my KU shirt and I never bought a beer all night. They were all trying to convert me. Yea sure.
Rock Chalk Jayhawk, Go KU
Lou,
Correction, I looked it up, they were playing in Cinn, they played Dayton.
Well I for one am hoping they win just to make you happy. But now that I know Lou is a fan of the OTHER SIDE I feel conflicted. I wish I never would have read this post :)
(people here burn cars when the Lakers win or lose, its so stupid. I realize college team spirit is different but I still hope no one goes to crazy after the game).
Ron,...I will now root for KU on your behalf. I know what this type of fan intensity is like because Steve( my husband) is a rabid,...yes, rabid, University of Michigan football fan. I thought he might settle down about it as we got older,...but, oh no,...it's intensified !
Have you been a long time KU fan ? Anyway,...I'll root for them. Good luck !
Ron, first of all, I totally get it. I am UT fan, basketball and football although right now we are going through a drought. However, if I have to pick a team, it would have to be UK. Not that I am fond of the Wildcats, but they are a SEC team after all. One thing I don't understand is why it has to start so late on a week night. I'd love to stay up and watch it, but duty calls early in the morning. Neither UK nor KU are that important to me that I would lose any sleep over it.
Lou,
Congrats, hope they don't burn down the city.
Good morning...LOSERS!!!
PS Dad, I don't even watch basketball. I'm sure your team put forth a valiant effort.
Going to call my daughter, and find out how bad her front lawn looks today (with bottles, cans, fireworks, burning cars...)
I hear that you all did not lose, you got beat ....
